This plugin is fun and simple and doesn’t have too much to adjust. There are 6 different ‘one-knob’ effects, but many parameters within them give a retro feel to your sounds. The effects are static noise, tape saturator, sample rate reducer, 80s style widening FX, pitch fluctuation LFO and ‘Bad hall’ reverb.
I have used this in the main pluck sound to bring warmth and life to the sound. I have used the three knobs a bit. Heat affects the saturation, which gives just the right amount of power to the sound. Wash gives a little hall reverb, pushing the sound further away from the listener. Drift swings the sound, making it less digital. I have also used this plugin in another pluck-style sound.
This plugin is a quick and handy tool to break up overly digital sound and make it more interesting. In this genre, the appropriate amount of wobble and brokenness gives life to the song. By combining many effects of this plugin, you can create exciting sounds.

A new third version has been published, but the principle is the same. This is a powerful tool with which you can manipulate the sound’s time, drive, noise, filter, crush, volume, pan, and width in different ways. You can use one parameter or even all of them simultaneously. There are numerous adjustment possibilities and ready-made presets. The third version has even more possibilities, but I have this second version in use.
I usually like to use this plugin to manipulate panning. In this song, I have automated the panning of the background pad and background pluck by drawing different curves for both to give interest to the stereo image. I think they sounded too mono and this way I got them moving in the stereo image the way I wanted. This also creates room for mixing and helps separate the sounds.
This plugin is a good tool for any genre. You can use it, for example, to side-chain things, or you can try, for example, different noise sounds to bring texture to your song. This is so versatile that everyone will surely find their own preferred use for it.

Transit

The name Transit already tells you where it is at its best. It is a tool that makes it easy to transition between different sections. It has 18 different effect modules and more than 300 presets, all of which can be customized, so it’s a very versatile plugin.
In this song, I’ve used it in the pluck sounds to bring interest when moving from one section to another. In the main pluck, I used the preset “Pluck to pad,” and in the background, I modified “Wavy” to get them to my liking. By automating Transition Control, the effect becomes gradually audible and the dry sound disappears more into the background. In the background guitar effect sound, I have used the preset “Harmony Underwater”; it is all wet all the time. Of course, I have slightly modified the preset at this point as well.
By browsing the presets, it’s nice to find new ways and sounds to make transitions. You can get a rich and vivid sound image by connecting different transition plugins to different tracks. You can also try to create exciting textures throughout the song with this plugin.

Four Quick Production Tips
Tip #1: Offset Your Pluck Timing

Try delaying some pluck sound by a millisecond or something so that it is not quite in time with the other sounds. You can make the sound stand out in different ways in the mix.
Tip #2: Harmonize Your Kick and Bass

Always remember to check that the kick and bass are in the same key. If you don’t know what key the kick is in, raise the pitch by 2-3 octaves and it will be easier for you to find the right note or you can check it with Waves Tune Real-Time or a similar plugin.

Try to find some element that sticks in the listener’s mind and keep it simple enough. In this way, you capture the listener’s interest more easily.
