Welcome to our 12th annual preview coverage of the best that the Coachella Valley has to offer during the biggest music festival weekend. This year we will see some of our favorite events returning for another year of frolic and fun with a few new events like the Surf Club, that are set to wow Coachella party veterans. As we get closer to Weekend One, we will be regularly updating details as well as adding new events once they are confirmed, so make sure to refresh/revisit this page regularly for the most up-to-date information. Many of these events will be listed as “INVITE ONLY,” which only means it’s time to hit up your TikTok famous besties and/or influencer friends for help getting in. We will also be posting live RSVP links for any events that are opened to the public so keep an eye out for those and RSVP before the lists are closed.
This year we’ve even included some of our favorite cute boutique hotels in a new “HOTEL STAYS” section down below so make sure you check those out if you’re needing to book for the festival or just want to plan for your next desert destination stay.

PALM TREE CREW GOLF CLASSIC

PALM TREE CREW will take over the legendary PGA West Stadium Golf Course in beautiful La Quinta, CA for an invite-only Golf Classic powered by N9NE Lounge, to kick off this year’s music festival weekend one. Produced by ENTER, led by Zev Norotsky and partnered with PALM TREE CREW, the annual golf classic will commence early on Thursday for a select number of invitees. More details to come.

SOL GLOW

Bringing that blissful peak summer feeling to everyone in the desert for weekend one, Sol de Janeiro, Brazilian inspired beauty and skincare brand, presents Sol Glow, an immersive experience into a taste of Brazil inside the prestigious La Quinta gated community. Special invited guests will have a chance to indulge in a vibrant world of Brazilian culture, sample the debut launch of the new Rio Radiance SPF 50 Collection and dance into the evening with a private DJ set from globally acclaimed SOFI TUKKER.
For invited guests, doors will only be open from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm, which means get there on time! Drop offs and drive ups to the estate will not be an option but a revolving shuttle service will be provided between the above “open” times.

PAPER, the iconic indie fashion, nightlife, music, art and film magazine will be hosting 2024’s annual festival weekend kick-off Thursday night party with the Paper Playground, which promises to be one for the books. Body shaking music will be provided by DJ Ruckus and to-be-announced special guests, with a climactic headlining performance by “Bitch, I’m stylish…Glock tucked, big t-shirt, Billie Eilish” rapper Armani White!
Produced by award winning, good time purveyor Zev Norotsky and the ENTER crew, the Paper Playground will be filled with premium sponsors to keep everyone refreshed and micro-activations for everyone to enjoy at the ONLY Thursday night party. More details to come.

Kicking off the Ace Hotel’s Desert Gold season, legendary sound selectors, The Do-Over & FRiends, will make their highly anticipated return with a surprise lineup that promises to be an unforgettable experience. If you know anything about this crew, then you know that they always bring some amazing guests to wow the crowds. Returning to an undisclosed poolside in the Palm Springs area, is the VIP exclusive REVOLVE Pool Party where celebrities, influencers and industry big wigs will splish splash under the sun. There are not a lot of details being shared or released by REVOLVE other than it is a special soiree filled with decadent treats and gifting suites that only a select few will be able to enjoy in person.

818 OUTPOST

818 Tequila is bringing back its very popular 818 Outpost from 2023 for another exclusive, one-day pop-up experience for invited guests and a few lucky general admission invitees (more details below). If you went last year, then you’ll remember the long multiple block-wrapping line of excited guests waiting to check out everything the pop-up had to offer. This year, the 818 Outpost will be popping up in a pioneer style western town, where guests will be treated to a full service saloon featuring 818 Tequila cocktails and Sprinter Vodka Sodas along with non-alcoholic beverages by Chamberlain Coffee, Olipop, Zico coconut water and Liquid I.V. to keep everyone’s electrolytes in check. To keep your stomach rumblings to a minimum, GoPuff will be setting up a plethora of snacking favorites in the provisions store in town. And because the desert sun can be brutal Vacation Inc. will be providing the best smelling sunscreen to protect from harmful rays while Lemme gummies will be available to keep your body in check.
To help keep the sun out of your eyes, guests will also enjoy complimentary cowboy hat customization from the Bumble station, a curated photo moment by Tezza to capture your Outpost desert style and Anastasia Beverly Hills will be at the ready to freshen up your make up looks.

From Zev Norotsky and the ENTER crew comes a two-day gifting oasis at a palatial estate in Bermuda Dunes. Guests will be treated to refreshing Absolut Ocean Spray cocktails ready to drink in a can, sweet treats and a unique True Religion Experience, while DJs keep the party going.

Last year the Nylon House delivered one of the best Friday night parties that weekend one had to offer. With its epic built stage, neon lighting illuminating the night’s sky and blockbuster DJs spinning the best music, it’s no wonder the house was packed and going on all night long. For 2024, Smirnoff Ice presents the return of Nylon House with another extravagant party that will be filled with art, sound and a plethora of celebrities.
This year we are excited to see the return of e.l.f. Cosmetics, one of the best cruelty-free vegan beauty brands focused on cosmetics, skincare, self betterment and even gaming (interview to come). Also returning will be the göt2b tent to make sure your hair is on point. The Zoe Report will host the annual ZOEasis for it’s eighth year returning as the Coachella Valley’s most luxurious midday desert oasis of style and self-care. Paragon Oasis makes its debut in the desert, presented by Kick. Touted as being a luxurious getaway designed to celebrate digital platform creators only, this event received over 10K RSVPs since its leaked existence, but only has a capacity for 150 specially invited guests, making it THE most exclusive event this year.
During the Oasis, guests will have an opportunity to partake in a 2v2 volleyball tournament with a cash prize for the winners, open SouthNorte tequila bar serving up cocktails all day, DJ performance by Suri Kaweri along with special guests and networking opportunities for top talent reps and digital creators. Guests will also be able to simply cross the street into Coachella once it’s time to go to the festival.

Presented by PATRÓN EL ALTO, the two-weekend invite-only GDH pop-up promises an unforgettable experience across the realms of refreshment, fashion, music, wellness, and culture. To make both weekends the best of the best, TDN will be going off every night of each weekend with top tier talent like Kaskade, Dom Dolla, John Summit, Adriatique, Carlita, Skepta, Adam Ten X Mita Gami, DJ Tennis with more to be announced as we get closer to each weekend (check back for special guest additions and DJ scheduling).
With great entertainment comes great premium concessions as the weekend will be filled with finely crafted cocktails using the smoothest tequila from PATRÓN EL ALTO, vodka debauchery with Grey Goose and Q Mixer, specialty champagne bar offerings from Pernod Ricard, hard seltzer buzzes from White Claw and beer-lover staples from Heineken. For those choosing non-alcoholic beverages, Red Bull and Prime energy drinks will keep the party pumping while probiotic, better-for-you soda brand poppi will be offering a photo booth activation experience with cans of pop for everyone to enjoy as evian spring water will keep everyone naturally hydrated via the French Alps.
With all the drinks and dancing to be had, hunger pains will be cured with the return of fan-favorite Kraft Heinz finger foods and premium dipping station along with slices of pizza joy from Pizza Hut.
2024’s Tao Desert Nights will definitely go bigger and harder than last year’s so start working on getting that invite (check out last year’s party above). GOLDENVOICE SURF CLUB

Goldenvoice is thrilled to unveil their latest venture, the Goldenvoice Surf Club (GSC), a dynamic daytime event series taking over the newly built Palm Springs Surf Club during both music festival weekends of April 13-14 and April 20-21, 2024. The Palm Springs Surf Club emerges as the quintessential desert oasis for these upcoming weekend events featuring an expansive grass amphitheater stage that seamlessly merges with the venue’s cutting-edge wave pool. Complete with wellness amenities and a tantalizing array of culinary delights from two restaurants, attendees can drift along lazy rivers, plunge down thrilling water slides, or unwind in plush cabanas, all while soaking in breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains while skilled surfers chop it up in perfectly formed waves. GSC attendees will have access to everything that the venue has to offer with surf sessions available (at all skill levels) directly through the Palm Springs Surf Club reservation page.
GSC Performances for Weekend One commence on Saturday (April 13, 2024) with a carefully curated showcase from Desert Air, featuring a DJ set by globe-trotting duo, Bicep, the house drenched beats of Vienna born, Manchester residing salute (“system” is a banger), the seasoned stylings of DJ Mia Moretti, and the infectious sounds of Barry Can’t Swim. On Sunday (April 14, 2024), LA’s very own Sound Nightclub will be taking the musical reins promising a lineup of premier electronic selectors, to be announced closer to the date.
Performances for Weekend Two kick off on Saturday with Dylan Brady of experimental duo 100 gecs and a trio of exclusive back-to-back sets from the global underground scene. Ireland’s KETTAMA will be dropping a back-to-back set with Australia’s Partiboi69 as KETBOI69, while Aussie sensation Mall Grab will be back-to-back with Skin on Skin. Wrapping up the weekend, UK dubstep legends Skream and Benga reunite for an electrifying performance. Sunday of the second weekend sees a captivating DJ set from British production powerhouse JUNGLE, the indie-disco vibes of NEIL FRANCES (DJ set) from Los Angeles, and the underground sounds of LA’s own Juliet Mendoza.

FRAMEWORK IN THE DESERT

Framework, one of the world’s leading independent purveyors of underground music experiences, is returning to the desert for its third annual Framework in the Desert, the desert’s best airplane hangar rave afterhours, taking place at Atlantic Aviation in Thermal, CA, for three nights during the first weekend of Coachella Music Festival.
This year, Friday night will kick off with headlining performances by Belgian techno DJ and producer Charlotte de Witte backed by Reinier Zonneveld, Rebūke and Minus The Light in the opening hours. On house music Saturday the hangar walls will drip with sweat with opening sets by Patrick Mason, Azzecca, Orso and Gorgon City, one of my all time favorite house music producer duos, with Dom Dolla geared to decimate the crowd till the wee hours of the morning. And finally, for the closing night, on Sunday, Cloonee, Grammy-nominated Will Clarke, Annicka will open up the night with hours of booty shaking music with John Summit closing it down and thus concluding the weekend of RAVE.

Since 2000, my friends and I have had the pleasure of regularly attending Coachella Music Festival and also have always enjoyed our various stays out in the desert. Here’s a new short and sweet section of boutique hotels that we know you’re gonna love if you can book for the music festival weekend or if you are looking for a quick relaxing getaway in the desert.
DESERT RIVIERA HOTEL PALM SPRINGS

Located in the southern part of Palm Springs, across the street from the Ace Hotel is the best hidden gem to stay at when you’re in the desert. Last year we had a lovely stay at the Desert Riviera Hotel Palm Springs during Coachella and all I can say is how blown away we were by this family owned hotel. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with a complimentary beer and glass of wine by the nicest hotel check-in desk, Traci and Corbin, we’re looking at you and sending our best. Then came the hotel tour and escort to our room. Some of the many amenities available are a daily breakfast in the hotel office lobby, bike rentals for touring the city, sunscreen station, full poolside barbeque area with TV in case you want to grill it up and a full service community kitchen with a fridge filled with bottled water, fresh eggs and more. Once we got into our room we were pleasantly surprised by a tray of snacks along with a full bottle of wine, waiting for us on the window side table…Wait, did I mention all of these are free??? It’s true!
The hotel and its rooms are vintage chic and really give you a chance to step back in time and channel your inner 60s glam. With various room sizes, prices vary but are very affordable versus the surrounding properties.
With its vintage 60s charm and warm welcoming environment, the Desert Riviera exudes rest and relaxation out of every square foot, so much so that hummingbirds frequent the flower garden. This is the first hotel I have ever been to where you can actually feed the hummingbirds by hand as you lay by the pool. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and relax, but still have easy access to the hustle and bustle of Palm Springs, then this is the hotel for you.

HOTEL CALIFORNIA

Last year we had the pleasure of also staying at the Hotel California Palm Springs, which coincidentally is the sister hotel to the Desert Riviera Hotel (mentioned above). Located just down the street, the Hotel California offers a cozier vibe with a smaller floorplan that emotes a more sophisticated western cowboy/cowgirl aesthetic with beautifully laid out rooms that give off luxury ranch house vibes.
Like the Desert Riviera, the Hotel California also offers daily breakfast and snacks in their full service kitchen area, bikes for tooling around town, outdoor communal barbeque area with fire pit, access to the hotel kitchen and private secured entry. And yes, all of this is free for guests!
A variety of room options means you can go big with the “townhouse” that has it’s own private second story balcony or poolside king suites that also have outdoor entry way patios. Every room is equipped with standard hotel amenities but you also get a wet bar, fridge, microwave and access to their community kitchen just in case you feel like cooking up a Michelin star meal. They even set up your room with complimentary beverages and snacks without any ridiculously overpriced “concession” fees like hotels in the area.
Check-in staff, Teri was the best, and the maid service team are also extremely nice and accommodating making anyone’s stay a special experience. If you’re in town and are lucky to lock down a reservation here for either of the music festival weekends or just want to book a stay to get away, then you’re in for a treat!

CASA CODY

Founded in 1920, Casa Cody is the oldest operating hotel in Palm Springs, and was founded by female pioneer, Harriet Cody, cousin to William Frederick Cody aka the legendary “Buffalo Bill“. Restored to beautiful modern luxury standards, the Casetta Group made sure to preserve original foundations and floorplans, to preserve its historic genes. If the walls could speak they would tell you stories of many desert parties with the likes of American Opera Singer Lawrence Tibbett, French novelist AnaÏs Nin and Hollywood superstar Charlie Chaplin, who would perform on the, still existing, stage in the communal dining room.
Located in the heart of Palm Springs off the main strip, Casa Cody offers a full service luxury hotel experience with relaxing mountain views, spa treatments, refreshing dips in the pool and food and drink offerings via their newly added Marketplace. Complimentary breakfast and bike rentals also add to the value of any stay at this historic establishment. Guests can also learn more about the hotel by way of sporadically mounted plaques and signs detailing the grand history of the property. To also add to the fun, during the warmer months, the hotel often hosts events and micro-activations like pool parties and “Wine Wednesdays” where guests are treated to elevated fun experiences during their stay.
We have not stayed here yet but Casa Cody has been on my radar for a few years and we hope to one day spend a relaxing weekend in the upcoming months.
