Known as the leader in advanced technology cannabis vaporization, Grenco Science is back with their newest marvel in hybrid heating: the G Pen Dash+. After Grenco received praise for the original G Pen, they decided to build on the best qualities of the device while adding some incredible features to their plus edition.
Whether you smoke medically or recreationally, CBD or THC, I guarantee you that the G Pen Dash+ is a great addition to your cannabis arsenal. Out of all the bongs, pipes, joints, pens, and other methods of smoking I have partaken in, I can honestly say that this vaporizer is the smoothest.

Breakdown Of The G Pen Dash+ Packaging & Features
First, let’s dive into the packaging and setup of this device. I was super pumped up when I got the email notification that my package had arrived. The G Pen Dash+ comes in a sleek matte black box, boasting a design that is simultaneously minimal and suave. Inside the box are a few essential components, a packing tool on a keychain, a USB-C charging cable, a washable mouthpiece cover, and of course the G Pen Dash+ itself.
Even though the packing tool was a small bonus, I really liked that it was included. Hand-packing cannabis in a vaporizer and trying to scoop it out with your fingers can be tricky at times. Not to mention that your fingers will smell like ganja after, and the bud can stick to them. Personally, I’m a big keychain advocate, so having this attached makes for a much easier packing procedure.

I was also a big fan of the rubber mouthpiece cover. It is thin and flexible, with the ability to fit nicely over the pen. Not all vaporizers I have used in the past come with a mouthpiece cover. When you have a friend (or girlfriend in my case) who notices you may not be the cleanliest person, it helps to be able to remove the cover and gently wash it. Plus, you don’t need to worry about getting water or soap in the pen since it is a separate part.
A feature from the actual G Pen Dash+ that stood out to me was the upgraded magnetic mouthpiece. It pops off with just a quick pull but also is strong to the level of not breaking off if you accidentally drop the pen. The chamber size is definitely bigger than the G Pen Elite II and the overall size of the pen is greater than the Dash. Obviously, the G Pen Dash+ combines the previous models’ best attributes and evolves them too.

Here are the rest of notable the G Pen Dash+’s key features:
- Precision Temperature between 320° – 420°F (160° – 216°C)
- Hybrid Heating (Conduction/Convention)
- Titanium Heating Chamber
- Full-Color LCD (liquid-crystal display)
- Session mode / Automatic shut-off / Haptic Feedback
- Magnetic Mouthpiece has a Spiral Ceramic Air Path
- Compact, lightweight, and durable Zinc-Alloy body
- 1800mAh Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery
My Experience Using The G Pen Dash+
Once I packed the pen, I followed the simple instructions on the tiny pamphlet that was also in the box. I thought it was cool that there was a QR code on the inside of the box that brought you to Grenco’s website, where the same directions were shown. This could be useful if you are forgetful like me, throw away the pamphlet, and forget how to use the pen (despite how simple it is).
Next, I held the power button for three seconds and the G Pen Dash+ turned on with two consecutive vibrations, almost identical to when you would get a text on your old Blackberry or flip phone. In the top right, the battery is shown in bar format. From my experience so far, the battery lasts pretty long and the pen charges up quickly. It can go from dead to fully charged in what seemed like around an hour.

When the pen turns on, you then get to set the temperature. For heavy smokers who like to take giant rips, I would recommend setting it to around 400°. I tend to cough a lot when I smoke and cannot inhale as much as the typical stoner, so anywhere from 335° to 370° is the sweet spot for me.
I set my temperature using the left and right smaller buttons towards the bottom, then double-clicked to initiate the pen to heat up. I love the LCD screen that shows the temperature rising. It climbs to the desired temperature insanely fast, and there are different colors for each temperature range.
My favorite feature of the G Pen Dash+ other than how it hits, is the Session Countdown. We have all experienced a time (or multiple times) when we got too baked and forgot to turn off our pen or vaporizer. Either the battery would die out or the coils would get too hot and become warped. The Session Countdown starts at three minutes and if you do not take a puff then it will automatically turn off.
I was genuinely shocked when I took my first hit. I might have been a bit cautious, so only pulled it for about five seconds. That evidently was not long enough. But surprisingly, I blew out a decent-sized cloud regardless of feeling like I had yet to inhale any smoke.

I tested the pen way more on the next hit, ripping it for about 10–15 seconds. The cloud was a good amount larger but I still refrained from my frequent coughing antics. I couldn’t believe how effortlessly the pen was to use and how smooth each pull was.
In consensus, I can confidentially say there is no piece or vaporizer that I will ever go back to; the G Pen Dash+ is by far my favorite method of smoking. Retailing at $149.95 (or four interest-free payments of $37.49) on Grenco Science’s gpen.com, it is above average in cost from the standard handheld vaporizer. However, with the G Pen Dash+ you get more than what you pay for, as it is the highest quality and smoothest vaporizer I have experienced.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
