Harriet Jaxxon strikes back with her own unique spin on today’s drum and bass, with her single, “Story of Women”. The talented DJ and producer weaves through acid house, techno and warped electronica. The intensity the artist builds up through the intro with a rhythmic, pulsing synth is layered with female spoken words saying, ‘This is the story of women who hear music in their heads… This is the story of dreams enabled for technology.’ The almost spooky spoken words give us a sense of something futuristic and sci-fi, fitting perfectly to the synths and explosions we are met with on the big drops.

Through piercing techno synths and gritty drum and bass, this haunting electronica piece is bringing us straight into the rave scene and is one that we will look out for at her upcoming shows on tour and at festivals later this year – Reading & Leeds, Boardmasters and Glastonbury.
Speaking on the new single Harriet states, ‘Inspired after watching a documentary on women in electronic music during lockdown, I decided to channel my own passion about the subject into the place that matters to me the most; the music.’
