As Miami Swim Week draws to a close this Sunday night, one of the weekend’s most distinctive experiences will unfold far from the traditional nightclub circuit. Instead of bottle service, VIP tables, and late-night excess, Daybreaker’s “HEATWAVE” sauna rave will transform The Standard Spa, Miami Beach into a multi-sensory gathering centered on movement, recovery, music, and connection.
Presented in partnership with PARAISO, the organization behind Miami Swim Week’s evolution into a broader lifestyle and cultural platform, HEATWAVE serves as the event’s official closing celebration. The experience reimagines what an afterparty can look like, replacing alcohol-focused nightlife with a wellness-driven environment designed to energize attendees while encouraging presence and interaction.
A Different Kind of Swim Week Closing Party
Throughout the evening, guests will move between guided sauna sessions, cold plunges, hydrotherapy spaces, poolside gathering areas, and a high-energy dance floor overlooking Biscayne Bay. Rather than existing as separate activations, each element works together to create a continuous flow between stimulation and recovery. The result is an experience that feels equally inspired by wellness retreats, electronic music culture, and community gatherings.
The setting itself plays a major role in bringing the concept to life. Long regarded as one of Miami’s premier wellness destinations, The Standard Spa offers an environment uniquely suited for HEATWAVE’s blend of heat, movement, and restoration. The property’s hydrotherapy facilities, tropical surroundings, and waterfront atmosphere naturally encourage exploration throughout the night, allowing attendees to move seamlessly between experiences without ever feeling confined to a single space.
Adding another layer to the evening is PARAISO’s collaboration with NATASHA TONIC, which will spotlight the brand’s wellness-focused SAUNA capsule collection. Designed specifically for high-heat environments and recovery rituals, the collection reflects many of the same principles driving the event itself: comfort, intentionality, and a more conscious approach to personal wellbeing.
The Miami edition also arrives as Daybreaker continues expanding its HEATWAVE concept nationwide. Recent events have taken place atop One Times Square in New York City, during Miami Music Week at Wynwood Walls, and at OMNIA Dayclub in Las Vegas, further establishing the format as one of the organization’s most popular offerings.
While Swim Week remains known for fashion showcases, celebrity gatherings, and brand activations, HEATWAVE offers something entirely different. Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki.
