Polyend has rolled out a major firmware update for its Tracker series, including Tracker+ (v1.2.0), Tracker Mini (v2.2.0), and Tracker (v1.9.2). The update introduces several long-requested workflow features, visual refinements, and system improvements that continue to build on the company’s legacy of accessible, performance-oriented hardware. It arrives as Polyend celebrates ten years since the debut of its first production tools, a milestone that underscores its steady presence in modern electronic music.

Focus Loop and Refined Interface

The most noticeable addition is Focus Loop, a feature that lets producers loop a section of a pattern for tighter editing and sound design. By highlighting part of a pattern and pressing Shift + Play, users can now isolate that section for repeated playback while working. It’s a practical addition for refining short rhythmic sequences or balancing layers in more complex arrangements.

Polyend also introduced a 10th Anniversary theme across the Tracker lineup. The interface update replaces the classic green battery icon with a white indicator, brings in higher contrast black backgrounds, and adds clearer labeling throughout the menus. The change improves screen readability in bright and dark conditions while keeping the Tracker’s familiar workflow intact.

Fixes and Improvements

This update includes a wide range of refinements across the full Tracker family.

  • All Trackers: Fixes address sample preview scaling, record-mode preview under external clock, pattern footer and header inconsistencies, chord velocity behavior, and external note recording while playing. Song mode block copying and Monochrome theme alignment have also been improved.
  • Tracker Mini and Tracker+: Send FX are now included in performance Synth FX states and rendered Synth step selections, improving consistency across both live and export workflows.

A Decade of Iteration

The firmware update reflects how Polyend continues to refine the Tracker ecosystem instead of replacing it. Even five years after the original Tracker’s release, each update brings measurable workflow improvements that keep the device competitive for studio producers and live performers alike.
