This marks the second release on the label from Kazko and Will Vance, who first teamed up earlier this year, continuing their collaboration with a remix that finds new depth in the original. Traumhouse’s contribution comes at an important point in his career. Known for his releases on All Day I Dream and Amulanga, the German producer has been open about how personal experience shapes his work. In an interview with Magnetic last year, he spoke about channeling grief, loss, and eventual clarity into his productions. Tracks from his Mundus Dolor EP were born during a period of breakdown and healing, while others, like Libertas, reflected a more settled state of mind. That emotional honesty comes through clearly in his approach to this remix, where subtle production choices carry weight and meaning.
Musically, the remix fits within the organic house space but leans into atmospheric layering that gives it a distinct identity. Traumhouse draws on decades of influence, including his early immersion in 80s new wave from artists like Depeche Mode and Erasure. That sensibility—melodic but often tinged with melancholy—can be heard in the way he reworks Call To Mind. The track rides at 122 BPM in Ab major, balancing dancefloor utility with the reflective quality that defines much of his output. In that time period, he has published thousands of articles on music production, industry think pieces and educational articles about the music industry. Over the last decade as a professional music producer, Will Vance has also ran multiple successful and highly respected record labels in the industry, including Where The Heart Is Records as well as having launched a new label with a focus on community through Magnetic Magazine. When not running these labels or producing his own music, Vance is likely writing for other top industry sites like Waves or the Hyperbits Masterclass or working on his upcoming book on mindfulness in music production. On the rare chance he's not thinking about music production, he's probably running a game of Dungeons and Dragons with his friends which he has been the dungeon master for for many years.
