EDM artist and vocalist Courtney Paige Nelson is expanding her career with two major moves this year. Known for her work on tracks like See You Go and Happy, Nelson has now been selected for the first-ever U.S. class of the YourShot DJ competition. At the same time, she is working on her first full drum and bass project, signaling an important evolution in her artistry.

Stepping Into the DJ Booth

Courtney Paige Nelson has spent years building her reputation as a songwriter and topliner in the electronic music scene. Her voice and writing have been featured on collaborations with DJs and producers across genres, giving her a strong foundation within the industry. With YourShot, she is stepping into the spotlight in a new role, bringing her skills as a performer and creator directly to the DJ booth.

YourShot offers a six-week training program designed for aspiring DJs with little to no prior experience. Participants receive hands-on instruction and end the program with a live performance in front of a large crowd. The competition has helped launch new DJ careers globally, with winners earning the chance to perform at some of the world’s biggest music festivals. For Nelson, it represents an opportunity to showcase her versatility while connecting with fans in an entirely new way.

Exploring Drum & Bass Production

In addition to her YourShot involvement, Courtney Paige Nelson is completing her first drum and bass project. While she has made her name as a vocalist and songwriter, this marks her first effort to create a complete body of work as a producer. The project blends her background in songwriting with the high-energy textures of drum and bass, offering fans a look at a different side of her sound.

Nelson has described this work as a natural extension of her creative growth. It allows her to merge her lyrical sensibilities with the rhythm-driven intensity of drum and bass, giving her music a fresh identity while staying connected to the dance music culture where she first gained recognition.

With both the YourShot competition and her upcoming drum and bass release, Courtney Paige Nelson is building momentum in multiple directions. She is taking her experience in the studio and translating it into performance, while also stepping into full production for the first time. Together, these projects highlight her evolution as an artist and her determination to keep pushing forward.
