DALI, short for Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries, has revealed its newest bookshelf speaker, the KUPID. Designed as an approachable entry point into the company’s hi-fi lineup, the KUPID brings full-size performance into a smaller, stylish package. It will be available in November 2025 at a suggested retail price of $600 USD / $600 CAD per pair, landing just in time for the holiday season.
KUPID is positioned to give listeners true hi-fi quality without the scale or footprint of traditional floorstanders. It carries the same design philosophy that defines DALI’s higher-end models but adapts it for modern living spaces. With bold finish options alongside compact form, it balances sonic accuracy with an aesthetic built for everyday use.
Compact Size, Big Performance

Despite its smaller frame, the KUPID is engineered to deliver sound far beyond what its footprint might suggest. The design draws on DALI’s decades of acoustic expertise, applying the same driver technology and cabinet engineering found in its larger models. The result is a speaker tuned for clarity, dynamics, and natural tonal balance.
The bookshelf format also makes KUPID more versatile in placement. Whether on stands in a dedicated listening room, tucked into shelves, or paired with a small hi-fi system in an apartment, it adapts to different setups without losing performance. For listeners new to hi-fi or those who want a secondary system, the compact size makes it easy to integrate into existing spaces.
Jason Zidle, Brand Manager for DALI in the Americas, describes KUPID as “a fresh new approach to hi-fi that is accessible and easy to live with.” His emphasis on accessibility highlights both the price point and the playful finishes, which add personality compared to the more understated look of traditional DALI speakers.
Danish Design Meets Everyday Living

KUPID reflects DALI’s approach to industrial design, with the clean lines and functional sensibility that characterize Scandinavian hi-fi products. At the same time, the finishes add a more colorful, modern angle aimed at listeners who want their speakers to stand out visually as much as they do sonically.
This combination of serious engineering and approachable style makes KUPID well-suited for a new generation of listeners who may not identify with the more traditional, understated aesthetic of hi-fi gear. The goal is to remove barriers while still maintaining fidelity, creating a product that brings audiophile-grade listening into everyday spaces.
With availability timed for the holiday season, KUPID also positions itself as a strong gift option for music lovers ready to take their first step into higher-quality audio. At $600 per pair, it hits a price bracket that balances accessibility with premium performance.
For DALI, the KUPID represents a clear statement: high-quality audio does not have to be intimidating, oversized, or limited to conservative design choices. It can be fun, compact, and still live up to the standards that audiophiles expect.
