Beatport has announced the first wave of programming for Beatport Connect L.A., a one-day summit for emerging artists, record labels, and music industry professionals. Scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025, at the W Hotel in Hollywood, the event is designed to bring together key voices in electronic music for a full day of panels, networking, and community-driven discussions.
The initial lineup of speakers includes Sofi Tukker, DJ Minx, Katie Bain (Director, Billboard Dance), Moody Jones (General Manager, Dirtybird), Josh Love (Partner, Reed Smith LLP), Gregory Alexander (Founder, A Club Called Rhonda), and Claire Wright (CEO/Founder, BUDDY). Additional speakers and sessions will be announced in the coming weeks.
Half of all ticket proceeds from Beatport Connect L.A. will benefit MusiCares, supporting health and human services for music industry professionals. Tickets are available now.
Programming, Networking, and Industry Access

Beatport Connect L.A. will feature discussions tailored to the current state of the industry, with panels exploring topics such as how AI is transforming production, strategies for breaking through in the attention economy, and managing burnout in a fast-paced creative field.
Beyond its panels, the summit places a strong emphasis on community and networking. All attendees will have access to a sunset mixer on the WET Deck at the W Hotel, as well as a late-night Beatport Live event at The Loft in collaboration with Insomniac Records. Tickets for the evening event will also be available separately for those who only want to attend the performance portion of the program.

Will Vance is a professional music producer who has been involved in the industry for the better part of a decade and has been the managing editor at Magnetic Magazine since mid-2022. In that time period, he has published thousands of articles on music production, industry think pieces and educational articles about the music industry. Over the last decade as a professional music producer, Will Vance has also ran multiple successful and highly respected record labels in the industry, including Where The Heart Is Records as well as having launched a new label with a focus on community through Magnetic Magazine. When not running these labels or producing his own music, Vance is likely writing for other top industry sites like Waves or the Hyperbits Masterclass or working on his upcoming book on mindfulness in music production. On the rare chance he's not thinking about music production, he's probably running a game of Dungeons and Dragons with his friends which he has been the dungeon master for for many years.
