Melodic techno producer HYPNOZA returns with “Heart of Stone,” a striking collaboration with vocalist and songwriter Jordan Grace. Released via PinkStar Black, a sub-label under Sirup Music known for spotlighting deeper, darker club sounds, the track marks a pivotal moment in HYPNOZA’s artistic evolution. Designed for emotional impact and club functionality, it showcases both artists’ strengths in creating music that resonates beyond the dancefloor.
The track begins with a steady bass foundation that gradually builds into a layered arrangement of cinematic synths and hypnotic rhythm. Grace’s vocal performance anchors the composition, offering a narrative centered on emotional resilience. His delivery is placed prominently during the track’s breakdown, emphasizing lyrical vulnerability, before the song regains intensity through crisp melodic phrasing and carefully structured synth builds.
The creative process behind “Heart of Stone” prioritized melody as the driving force. HYPNOZA explains:
“’Heart of Stone’ started, like all my tracks do, with the melody — it is always the heart and soul of my music and what I want to be known for as a producer. I built everything around that core idea, carefully shaping the soundscape to complement Jordan Grace’s powerful vocals. The rolling bass, in the beginning, sets the energy, but I wanted the breakdown to breathe, giving space for the emotion in his voice to really hit. After that, I layered in melodic techno synth stabs to bring back intensity while keeping the feeling intact. This track is about the contrast between vulnerability and strength, and I hope people connect both on the dance floor and within themselves.”
Since launching the HYPNOZA project in early 2024, Martyna DeVries has rapidly earned attention across both the New York and European techno scenes. Her background as a board-certified psychiatrist informs the emotional depth of her productions, and her growing performance résumé includes appearances at Marquee, Somewhere Nowhere, and Summer Club, as well as a debut at Amsterdam Dance Event.
With “Heart of Stone,” HYPNOZA continues to refine her artistic voice. Now based in Poland, she is set to perform at key European shows including Upperground’s Legia Warszawa showcase and ING Silesia Beats, solidifying her presence on international stages. The release positions her as a rising force in the melodic techno space, with a clear focus on authenticity, storytelling, and sonic impact.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki.
