Another month, another batch of absolute heaters from some of the best names in the game. We are back with a new edition of Magnetic’s melodic techno chart, where we select the top 15 tracks across this genre each month and dive into what we love about them, while sharing a look into the artist behind each song.

Our favorite 15 from May includes anthems from melodic techno superstars like Goom Gum, Cassian, Korolova, Innellea, and CamelPhat. However, this chart is never complete without a handful of mesmerizing tracks from underground and rising producers, such as Peer Kusiv, Binaryh, TH;EN, Bolth and Celeste. We also have a solid amount of melodic techno veterans on display for your sonic entertainment; check out our picks for May below.

Goom Gum – I See Your Face [Avtook Rec]

Mechanical yet soulful, the vocal chops in this one sound like a futuristic siren calling ravers to the dancefloor. Goom Gum loads it with blistering snares, a thick bassline, and that high-pressure energy tailored for warehouse chaos. Easily one of their hardest-hitting cuts yet, this is pure peak-hour material from a duo that keeps leveling up.

Cassian – SOS [Experts Only]

Cassian’s debut on Experts Only doesn’t just announce his presence, it rips the roof off. The chant-driven intro builds suspense before dropping into a pulse-heavy groove that is both hypnotic and festival-ready. Layers of vocals and synths carry the track forward in waves, adding tension and release without ever letting up. The backstory adds extra flavor: inspired by moai statues, “SOS” was, according to Cassian, ghost-produced by a literal ghost. Whether you buy into the myth or not, the track speaks for itself.

Rebūke, P.T. Adamczyk, Aya Anne – Forever [ERA Music Limited]

Moody, cinematic, and sonically dense, this team-up pulls from both dancefloor and game-score worlds. Rebūke’s rugged techno blends seamlessly with Adamczyk’s sweeping production, while Aya Anne’s vocal threads everything together like a sci-fi drama unfolding in real time.

Layton Giordani, Linney, Sarah de Warren – Act of God (CamelPhat Remix) [Experts Only]

CamelPhat does more than simply remix; they reinvent. Here, they take Layton Giordani’s already powerful “Act of God” and inject it with a darker heartbeat, a swelling bassline, and haunting vocal reworks. The drop is deep, keeping just enough of the original’s soul while delivering something more primal and immediate.

Innellea, TH;EN, Carlo Whale – Inside Your Mind [belonging]

“Inside Your Mind” is a proper statement piece. With the launch of his new imprint, Innellea drops a genre-bending collaboration that fuses indie dance with melodic techno power. The hook sticks like glue, while the percussion and arrangement feel both high-stakes and refined. Expect to hear this rinsed in sets for months. It is already a community favorite.

Korolova, Zamna Soundsystem – Universe [Zamna]

Built for late-night sets and introspective drives, “Universe” spins a trance-like spell. The groove is tight but never crowded, layered with glistening synths and an ethereal energy that feels planetary in scale. Korolova and Zamna Soundsystem deliver something that is as emotionally resonant as it is physically moving. It is a true bridge between the mind and the dancefloor.

KASIA, Skuro (IT), Arkaden – Luminate [Tomorrowland Music]

“Luminate” wastes no time pulling listeners into its orbit. A sweeping build, massive drop, and haunting vocal drive home its impact. The trio behind this track flex their ability to merge intricate atmospheres with a festival-sized payoff, making it both emotionally layered and club-primed. It is a track that deserves both your attention and a massive sound system.

Rauschhaus, Peer Kusiv – Quantum Mirage [Forevermore]

There is a subtle magic in how this one builds. “Quantum Mirage” leans into spacious percussion and textured synthwork, guiding you into a dreamlike trance that suddenly clicks into motion. Out on Rauschhaus and Peer Kusiv’s own imprint Forevermore, the tune has already been supported by major Spotify editorial playlists ‘Electronic Rising’ and ‘All New Dance’. While they may be under the radar for general electronic music fans, both of these artists are killing the game when it comes to underground realm of progressive house and melodic techno. It is impossible to listen to “Quantum Mirage” and not move your feet.

Celeste, Dominik Gehringer – What Does It Mean [NOW Recordings]

The NOW imprint keeps its momentum strong in 2025 with Infinity II, a stacked VA compilation spotlighting five sleek and forward-pushing cuts. “What Does It Mean” stands out with a low-end groove that pulls you in and vocals that swirl like a lucid dream. It’s deep, rhythmic, and fully immersive.

Also featuring tracks from Emiliano Demarco, Turako, Omar Khalifa, Mario Eighta, Unseen, and Sincz, Infinity II proves this global collective is locked in and shaping the future sound of the label.

Binaryh, Mariz – Acrux [Ame Records]

Dream-state melodies, interstellar FX, and a crushing build make this one feel like a space opera in club format. The breakdown floats before grabbing you and pulling you headfirst into a sonic freefall. These two rarely miss, and “Acrux” might be their best yet.

TH;EN – My Head [Spectrum]

From the start, “My Head” locks into a tunnel-vision groove. Layers evolve subtly but with purpose, guided by instinctive production choices and tension you can feel in your chest. No fluff, no overthinking, just raw, effective peak-time power. TH;EN’s debut on Spectrum hits exactly where it should.

Bolth – Lock Down [NOW Recordings]

Another standout track on the NOW Recordings compilation, “Lock Down” has an extremely unique sound design that puts a spell on anyone within listening range. My favorite component of this track is the vocal. It is a simple yet highly effective sequence of rap that pairs seamlessly with the spine-tinging robotic sound design present across the track. If you are trying to crank up the vibe at the party, this should be your go-to selection.

Turker – Robots In Love (Nick Devon Remix) [Steyoyke Recordings]

Nick Devon’s remix drips in futuristic mystique. While the original leans emotional, this version takes it deep and hypnotic, with slow-burning synths that shimmer and unfold. This remix is special to say the least, the progressions of synths towards the closing section are simultaneously uplifting and serene. It is the kind of remix that builds a whole scene around itself, perfect for dimly lit clubs or headphone deep dives.

Anyma, Chris Avantgarde – Atmosphere [Interscope Records]

You don’t need the Sphere visuals to feel the weight of “Atmosphere.” Anyma and Chris Avantgarde deliver a sonic monolith built on emotional storytelling and cinematic scale. The track swells with tension and grandeur, anchored by a pulse that feels alive. An album centerpiece that captures the DNA of Anyma’s Genesys trilogy in one giant breath.

MORTEN, ARTBAT – Culture [Insomniac Records]

With a vocal hook that punches through the mix like a war cry, “Culture” is less a track and more a mission statement. MORTEN and ARTBAT go heavy on distortion, synth grit, and a pace that leaves no room to breathe. It is meant to be played loud, fast, and without apology. Check out the music video below for an equally immersive visual component to the song.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
