We’re back with another fresh release at Magnetic Magazine Recordings. August is shaping up to be an incredibly packed month for the label as we’re picking up momentum, with a release lined up pretty much every Friday for the rest of the month. This release is particularly special because it’s one of my own.

Will Vance, the label director and co-founder (me), teams up with one of the biggest rising names in the Tulum scene, Tiago Dima, to release “Air and Darkness.

How “Air And Darkness” Started

This track started over a year ago when Tiago sent a rough demo to my other label. While it wasn’t right for that label at the time, something about it stuck with me, even though it still had a long way to go. Over the next 12 months, Tiago and I gradually developed the song, adding different elements and arrangement moves, while keeping the core ethos, centered around the vocal chops and lead melody, intact. Now, it’s evolved into something more nuanced, complex, and compositionally deep.

Check out the song above and get ready because we have a massive remix of this track dropping in a couple of weeks, which is set to be a big milestone for both artists’ careers and the label overall. So, check out the latest premiere, Tiago Dima and Will Vance’s “Air and Darkness,” coming out next week on Magnetic Magazine Recordings, and which we were lucky enough to premiere on our SoundCloud page.
