Delivering a summer anthem that is primed for long drives and rolling the windows down, bass music visionaries G-REX and STUCA have joined forces to present “Runaway.” While the sound design behind this track is equally stunning and mind-bending, it would not be complete without the infectious lyrics of rising San Diego artist, Take45.

This collaborative song blends rockcore vocals, dynamic bass sound design, and immersive soundscapes, creating a standout summer anthem. “Runaway” highlights G-REX and STUCA as ascending musical icons, merging experimental bass, trap-inspired drums, and pulsating synths. With Take45’s emotionally charged vocals, the tune delivers everything fans of each artist crave.

Speaking on this innovative track, G-REX shared, “‘Runaway’ is one of my most favorite tracks I’ve ever worked on. I randomly came across Take45 last year on TikTok and reached out to see if he wanted to work. He got back to me quick, and we have been working on things since. STUCA and I have toured and worked on a lot of music but we have always made very aggressive tracks, so this one is a lot different. The track just has a lot of feeling to it. I am so happy how it came together and that we finally get to share it with the world.”

Making “Runaway” even more special, it is complemented by a mesmerizing music video. It is shot, directed, and edited with a distinctive style by Guerilla McGavin, who has become known for his captivating transitions in work for industry titans such as Excision Presents, Goldenvoice, and Respect DNB. The video features scenes of Take45 in an otherworldly landscape, encompassing breathtaking visual effects that will hyperbeam viewers to an alternate universe where sonic possibilities are limitless. The video is now available on Apple Music, Tidal, VEVO, and YouTube.

From Detroit to global stages, G-REX emerged as a bass music pioneer with his iconic track “Babatunde” alongside Peekaboo in 2018 and cemented his status with the more recent hit “BADDERS” in collaborations with Skrillex, Peekaboo, and Flowdan. Fusing horror and rap influences, his versatile sound is showcased on labels like OWSLA, WAKAAN, and more, while his electrifying performances have been seen at festivals such as HARD Summer, Shambhala, and Lost Lands. As he gears up for new releases and tour dates, G-REX continues to evolve, leading the charge for the future of bass music.

Dedicated and focused on breaking the barriers between multiple genres, Southern California producer Geoff Boss, aka STUCA, pairs intense, aggressive sounds with atmospheric pads and melodies, bringing a brilliant balance to his music that many artists are unable to achieve. Boss has put all of his efforts these past few years into creating this industrial style and energy that has laid the foundation for what STUCA is and will become.

Emmanuel Guetty Louis Jr. is a broad-faceted artist and the mind behind Take45. Apart from being a rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer, Take45 is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar, and drums. He co-produces his own music, combining melodic harmonies and riddling flow, ensuring he is no one-hit wonder.

Together, these three unique artists along with Guerilla McGavin have forged an audiovisual masterpiece with “Runaway.” Be on the lookout for their upcoming projects, as they each have big plans in store for the remainder of 2024.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
