Electronic music maestros What So Not and Daktyl have joined forces to release their uplifting anthem “Fever” on Monstercat Instinct. The journey through “Fever” begins with a captivating combination of beautiful synths and dreamy lyrics.

As the track unfolds, it transitions seamlessly into a gripping stand-alone vocal, leading to a soothing yet lively drum & bass-infused drop. What So Not and Daktyl’s expertise is on full display as they infuse feel-good effects, innovative sound design, and other breathtaking components throughout this musical masterpiece.

Notably, “Fever” made its debut at the closing of What So Not’s prime-time set at the Same Same But Different Festival. The crowd united in a joyous display, raising their hands and swaying to the uplifting build of this melodic gem. Additionally, Daktyl and What So Not have treated their fans to a spellbinding live performance video of “Fever.”

Sharing his perspective on the lyrics, Daktyl explained:

“Personally, the lyrics to me are about dedication. Feverish passion, commitment, and purpose. For both Chris [What So Not] and I, we have found that through music. It is how I give shape to the world around us. Conversely, making music is absolutely an addiction. I cannot, and never want to, stop. Everyone is chasing this feeling that is within all of us, but can come in many forms, such as raising a family or teaching. It can, of course, take a darker shape, but it is important to try to bend it to the light,

With over a decade of crafting mesmerizing hits and delivering electrifying live sets, What So Not has consistently pushed the boundaries of musical exploration. Achievements include his remix of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s “Innerbloom” and his 2022 album, Anomaly. His recent releases, including the September collaboration with San Holo, “ENERGY,” have kept audiences hooked.

Daktyl, an equally dynamic and imaginative artist, boasts a diverse portfolio. His career includes appearances on Monstercat and touring alongside industry giants like ODESZA, Bonobo, and TroyBoi. His latest EP, Chaos Theory Pt. 2, is a captivating collaborative journey with visionary lyricist Benni Ola, demonstrating his multi-instrumental talents.

Both What So Not and Daktyl have consistently taken their audiences on sonic adventures, a trait that resonates in their individual catalogs. This attribute shines through in “Fever,” a strong indication of the bright future that lies ahead for these trailblazers.
