BluOS™, Lenbrook International’s premium multi-room music management platform, showcased its eagerly-awaited 4.0 mobile controller app update at CEDIA 2023 in Denver, Colorado. Scheduled for an official launch on October 17th, 2023, this latest update promises a complete overhaul of the BluOS Controller app, featuring an elegant redesign of the user interface, enhanced navigation, and optimized search functionality.
“Our focus on an impeccably smooth and cohesive user experience drove the rigorous development journey of BluOS 4.0,” said Andrew Haines, BluOS Product Manager.
What This Update Brings To The Table

The BluOS 4.0 update is a leap forward in user experience and functionality. Its all-new bottom navigation bar features intuitive icons for quick one-tap access to Home, Favorites, Music Players, and Search. The Favorites screen has also been revamped to provide a customizable view, enabling users to sort by playlists, artists, albums, songs, and stations. Furthermore, a centralized Music screen amalgamates all music sources, services, and device inputs, allowing users to toggle between different zones seamlessly.
Other key highlights of BluOS 4.0 include improved player control and a dedicated Search screen that allows for service-specific, faster results. Users can now easily switch between Now Playing and Play Queue screens. New icons for grouping and indicators for sampled audio quality and zone playing have also been added, amplifying the user’s control over their multi-room audio experience. Starting October 17th, the firmware update will be available for download on iOS and Android devices via the BluOS Controller app.
