Brian Eno is composing the score for the Drake reboot of hit UK TV show Top Boy on being brought to Netflix. Eno is being joined by Michael Asante on the score.
The TV show originally aired from 2011-2013 on Channel 4 in the UK. It focuses on crime and street gangs in a fictional Hackney housing area in East London and the battles that the characters must go through to become a “top boy” in the area.
The new show will feature a host of musicians, including Kane Robinson (AKA grime MC Kano) and Ashley Walters (AKA Asher D) in returning roles, in addition to Little Simz and Dave in new roles.
Top Boy will air on Netflix this fall.
