Avision steps into a more defined position with his ‘Out Of Control’ EP, a six-track release that pulls together material that has already been circulating across sets while adding new pieces to complete the picture. Released on his Ground Rule Records imprint, the project works as a focused snapshot of where his sound sits right now, with a clear emphasis on functionality inside club environments.

Several of the tracks have already established themselves independently. “Out Of Control,” “Goes Like This,” “Reach,” and “Baby Tell Me” have been present in sets across a wide range of DJs, which gives the EP a sense of familiarity before it even fully lands. Bringing them together in one place does not change their individual roles, but it does give the project a more structured identity.

A project built from proven material

The core of the EP leans on groove-led arrangements that keep energy consistent without overcomplicating transitions. There is a clear focus on movement rather than contrast, which makes the tracks easier to work into extended sets. Each record maintains a steady pace, with enough variation to stay engaging while avoiding abrupt shifts.

The two additional tracks expand that foundation without breaking it. “Risky” sits deeper in tone, with a more restrained build that holds tension across longer sections. It feels positioned for later moments in a set where the energy needs to stay controlled but still active. “Como Se” moves in a different direction, introducing a looser rhythmic structure with a warmer feel that reflects a broader set of influences.

This balance across the EP keeps it from feeling repetitive. The tracks share a common approach, but each one fills a slightly different role depending on context.

Ground Rule as an extension of identity

The release also marks an important step for Ground Rule Records. Rather than acting as a one-off label drop, the EP sets a baseline for how the imprint will operate moving forward. It connects directly to Avision’s wider approach, where releases, events, and broader cultural elements are tied together under a single framework.

That connection to New York runs throughout the project. The influence is not presented as a reference point. It is embedded in the pacing, structure, and overall feel of the tracks. There is a continuity that reflects both established club traditions and more current approaches without leaning too far in either direction.

‘Out Of Control’ works because it stays consistent in its purpose. It does not try to reposition Avision into a different lane. It consolidates what has already been working and presents it as a complete project. For DJs, that kind of clarity has practical value, and for listeners, it offers a more defined view of where his sound is heading.
