If you’ve been watching what’s coming out of the Dutch house scene lately, Easttown’s name has probably already crossed your feed. Now he’s stepping into a bigger spotlight with his first release on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations – a label that’s spent the past decade sharpening its focus on upfront, bounce-heavy house.
The four-track EP, Rocking To The Rhythm, lands June 6 and feels built for high-rotation club play. The title cut gets right to it – rolling drums, a swinging groove, and no wasted space. ‘So Fly’ leans into that same movement but drops things into a funkier, more reduced zone – low-end pressure with enough character to keep things slippery.
Flip to the B-side and ‘Going Down’ threads vocal cuts into sharper textures and forward drive. ‘Get On Up’ wraps the record with the kind of percussive tightness that tells you Easttown’s got his engineering dialed in.
There’s a through-line here: every track keeps the energy up without getting overcomplicated. It’s the kind of production that’s clearly tested in the booth first, polished second. That may be why DJs like Seth Troxler, ANOTR, and Capriati have already been rinsing his previous records.
With festival dates locked in for Off Sonar, Mysteryland, and BRET this summer, Easttown’s momentum looks set to keep building. This Hot Creations debut plants him squarely on the international map—and makes a solid case for keeping an eye on what he drops next.
